Covera Packaging has been on the map as your packaging partner ever since 1946, when the family business was launched under the name Comptoir Verrier Anversois.
In the early years, the company mainly sold glass jars to fish packers on the quays of Antwerp. In the early 1960s, plastic appeared on the market, and Covera Packaging decided to jump on the bandwagon. It marked a milestone for our growth, as it enabled us to sell products to other sectors outside the food industry. Covera Packaging is now a familiar name in the world of packaging.
We work mainly with European manufacturers, which keeps the ecological footprint small, and means we can maintain close ties with our business relations and partners. This benefits both Covera Packaging and our customers. We deliver worldwide, but our sales market is dominated by the Benelux and Northern France.
We continuously improve and expand our range of products, working alongside our customers to find the most suitable packaging in terms of shape, material, closure, and decoration. In addition to its extensive range of standard products, some of Covera Packaging’s models can also be developed and commercialised at the request of the customer.
Frank Van Gestel, the third generation of this family business, took over the helm together with Stefaan Schelfaut in 2017. They rely on a team of 14 permanent employees to manage the entire process.
